Your Partner in Integrative Healing

Jody Murphy, RN, MPH

Registered Nurse | Certified Reiki Practitioner | Herbal & Nature Educator

Raised in a homesteading family before it was trendy, Jody grew up with her hands in the soil and her heart tuned to the rhythm of the land. She learned to respect what the earth provides — gathering eggs, tending gardens, and foraging for wild food long before “organic” was a buzzword.

Now, with decades of experience as a Registered Nurse and holistic wellness guide, Jody brings that same earth-rooted wisdom to every foraging workshop she leads. Her teaching style blends practical plant knowledge with deep reverence for nature — always grounded in safety, sustainability, and a spirit of connection.

Whether you’re brand new to wild foods or looking to deepen your skills, you’ll find Jody’s approach thoughtful, inclusive, and rich with heart.

How Can I Support You on Your Healing Journey?

Frequently Asked Questions About Integrative Wellness

Integrative wellness is an approach to health that combines evidence-based medical care with holistic therapies such as yoga, meditation, breathwork, Reiki, and nutrition support. Integrative wellness focuses on treating the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

Integrative wellness coaching works by partnering with a coach who helps you set goals, build healthy routines, and learn practical tools for self-care. Most coaches blend conversation, education, and experiential techniques.

The benefits of integrative wellness can include better stress management, improved sleep, increased energy, and a greater sense of balance. Integrative wellness may also support people living with chronic conditions, help with resilience during life transitions, and encourage better self-awareness.

Integrative wellness coaching is not the same as therapy. Coaching focuses on education, skill-building, and healthy routines, while therapy usually addresses mental health diagnosis and treatment. Many people use both together for comprehensive support.

Many integrative wellness techniques—like mindfulness, breathwork, and movement—are supported by scientific research. A quality coach uses evidence-based strategies and stays current with best practices.

Integrative wellness coaching can be done online or in person. Virtual coaching makes it possible to receive support from almost anywhere.

Reiki is a gentle energy healing practice that aims to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and encourage balance in the body and mind. Reiki is often used as part of integrative wellness services to support emotional and physical wellbeing.

Yoga is a practice that uses movement, breath, and mindfulness to support flexibility, strength, and relaxation. Yoga can be a core part of a wellness plan, especially when sessions are adapted for all ages and ability levels.

Breathwork uses guided breathing techniques to regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and support emotional balance. Breathwork is often included in wellness programs for its calming and energizing effects.

Nutrition guidance is often included in integrative wellness services to help support energy, sleep, and overall health. Simple, evidence-based nutrition tips can make a big difference in how you feel day to day.

Integrative wellness services are meant to complement, not replace, medical treatment. It’s always best to talk with your healthcare provider when adding new wellness practices, especially if you have a chronic condition or take medication.
